Easter Road Trip!

We took Maggie on her first road trip to visit Grandmomma and Granddad in Tennessee for Easter. She did great and of course soaked up all the attention she could get (and also spent some quality time napping on Daddy.) Unfortunately, it rained most of the time we were there, so Maggie will have to wait until next year to meet one of the many Easter bunnies that live in my parents' yard!

Along the way, we stopped in Asheville for a brief visit with Maggie's new cousin, Morgan. Morgan is 4 weeks old and is the daughter of Will's cousin Drew and his wife Michelle. Morgan has the same bear suit as Maggie, so of course we couldn't resist taking photos of this. I don't think either of them were amused, but Maggie's been photographed so much in the bear suit that she goes into "bear suit paralysis". I'm sure they will somehow plot against us when they get older for doing this to them!

Maggie's First Hike

We had a big day today: our first trip to the local native nursery, then a hike at a local nature preserve near Chapel Hill. Here's a picture...

Bath time!

Maggie is learning to love bathtime, and right now she's especially interested in the sound of the water. Daddy will take a cup of water and make a "waterfall" and Maggie will just stare at it. And last night we got our first laugh! She also likes having a warm washcloth placed on her tummy...she's so modest, a true southern belle.

Too cute!!

It has been kinda chilly out lately, so we've been bundling Maggie up in her "bear suit" for our evening walks with the beagles. I just couldn't resist snapping a few photos the other day before a walk!

Baby frozen in carbonite by intergalactic bounty hunter...

Not to worry, we swiftly infiltrated Jabba’s Palace, rescued her and narrowly escaped being slowly digested over 1000 years in the Pit of Carkoon. She was soon home playing and smiling again.

The force is strong with this one.

(Sorry, TBS has been wearing out ‘Star Wars’ lately and the pose in this picture was too much for me to resist. I am a nerd.)

Maggie-zilla!

We had another doctor's visit Monday and at 4 1/2 weeks old, we are weighing in at 10 lbs. 13.5 oz. - Good job momma! She is changing everyday and no longer fits in many of her 0-3 month clothes. I have a short video of some of Maggie first 'non-crying' sounds. More to follow...
