smile, you're on candid camera!

This picture is specifically for Maggie's Granddad! :-) This is probably the messiest food Maggie has eaten yet...cherry applesauce. (And no, I didn't intentionally color-coordinate her outfit with her meal!)

Maggie's hooptie

Well, we have officially "sold out", thanks to Fisher Price. Maggie now has a jumperoo, the most ridiculous toy you have ever seen. We really wanted to avoid giant plastic toys with lots of lights and music, but what do you see in our living room right now? A giant plastic toy with lots of lights and music! Go figure. But as you can see, Maggie loves it! And I'm a sucker for that drooly, dimply smile.

Fun with mom & dad

One of these days we'll get a photo with all 3 of us together.  :-)
For now, here are a couple of cute ones.

Mealtime adventures

Mealtimes are becoming more like entertainment for Maggie these days. She's easily distracted by everything from the beagles to her feet to the hummingbirds outside the kitchen window. And this morning after she finished her breakfast, she decided that there might be just a little more flavor left on the spoon so she grabbed it from me.

Colors 101

Here are some cute pictures of Maggie learning her colors. Who knew blue was so tasty?

Maggie's first tooth!

Maggie cut her first tooth this week! She screamed bloody murder (which she never does, so I knew something was up) for about 30 minutes on Monday morning, so I was expecting a tooth to pop up shortly thereafter. She's been happy since then, but sure enough, on Wednesday morning I felt the sharp edge of her first tooth poking through. You can barely see it in these pictures.

Squash, carrots, zucchini, oh my!!

Maggie is now 6 months old and over the last couple of weeks we've been introducing her to "solid" food. For the first couple of days she thought we were trying to poison her, but now she's starting to enjoy these new meals. So far, she's tried rice cereal, applesauce, bananas, carrots, peaches, zucchini, and yellow squash. Thanks to our awesome BabyCook from Will's aunt Kathy (thanks so much Kathy!!), I've been making homemade purees. Surprisingly, her favorites so far have been the zucchini and carrots (maybe we'll have one of those kids that loves her veggies).

"Wait a minute...this isn't ice cream!!"

"Nope, no carrots here...haven't seen them! Maybe the beagles ate them."
