Too cute!!

It has been kinda chilly out lately, so we've been bundling Maggie up in her "bear suit" for our evening walks with the beagles. I just couldn't resist snapping a few photos the other day before a walk!

Baby frozen in carbonite by intergalactic bounty hunter...

Not to worry, we swiftly infiltrated Jabba’s Palace, rescued her and narrowly escaped being slowly digested over 1000 years in the Pit of Carkoon. She was soon home playing and smiling again.

The force is strong with this one.

(Sorry, TBS has been wearing out ‘Star Wars’ lately and the pose in this picture was too much for me to resist. I am a nerd.)

Maggie-zilla!

We had another doctor's visit Monday and at 4 1/2 weeks old, we are weighing in at 10 lbs. 13.5 oz. - Good job momma! She is changing everyday and no longer fits in many of her 0-3 month clothes. I have a short video of some of Maggie first 'non-crying' sounds. More to follow...

Hmm...very interesting!

Hey folks! We're starting to settle into a routine these days, and for our local friends who have expressed interest in coming over for a brief visit to meet Maggie (sorry, but I haven't had time to e-mail everyone individually yet), just give us a call.

We took Maggie back to the dr. this past week, and she is up to 9 lbs and 6 oz, so all my hard work in feeding her is paying off. :) She is discovering her hands these days, and she seems to always have one hand up to her face while she's sleeping. So cute...it makes her look like she's deep in thought.

Momma's Birthday Present

Hi everyone! This is my first post since Maggie was born (translation...one of my first "free moments" where I'm not feeding this little milk monster), and it also happens to be my 33rd birthday. Maggie is the best birthday present ever (in addition to the Krispy Kremes that Will bought for me this morning)! Each morning from about 11:00-1:00 she has an alert, awake period where we like to lie around and watch each other.

Stay tuned for more pics, and I promise I'll get around to returning folks' e-mails one of these days.

Crafty...

Our friends and family have been so generous and Maggie even has a few originals in her collection. I thought I would share a few of her hand-made gifts with you all.
1) A watercolor of a magnolia blossom painted by my mom (I'll get it framed soon!)
2) A 'M-a-g-g-i-e' wall hanging painted by my sister.
3) A quilt made by Maggie's great-great grandmother for Heather's mom when she was pregnant with her brother. You will note the pink border - another gender 'hunch' gone awry. Perfect to hand down to the first girl of the next generation!
4) A crocheted blanket made by Maggie's great-grandmother (Dessie) originally for Heather's mom.
5) A knitted blanket made for Maggie by her great-grandmother on my Dad's side (Ginger).
6) A quilt made for Maggie by our friend Danesha.
7) A rattle made by Daddy with walnut from same tree I made my wedding ring(s) out of (I am already on ring #5. Daddy does not keep up with jewelry well!!).
